Smart Town of China Merchants Group.
Two industry parks in Guangming District have been recognized as part of the first batch of municipal-level specialized biomedicine and medical device parks, Bao'an Daily reported.
This acknowledgment of the two parks, Weiguang Life Sciences Park and Smart Town of China Merchants Group, comes as a strategic move to bolster the research and manufacturing capabilities within these industries, foster innovation, and advance the professionalization, specialization, and branding of industrial parks.
In August 2024, the Shenzhen Industry Convergence Promotion Association, entrusted by Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission, conducted a thorough assessment of Shenzhen's biopharmaceutical and medical device professional parks, ultimately singling out six parks, including the aforementioned two parks in Guangming District.
The Smart Town of China Merchants Group, situated in the Fenghuangcheng industrial area, spans 59,900 square meters of land with the first phase covering 25,574 square meters, operational since August 2022. This park stands out for its upgraded services geared towards nurturing innovation and industrial synergy, providing a comprehensive platform integrating research, production, sales, and services tailored to the needs of enterprises in the biopharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
Weiguang Life Sciences Park.
Weiguang Life Sciences Park has a total planned construction area of approximately 300,000 square meters across three phases, where the first two phases have already been completed. This park focuses on cutting-edge biotechnology fields like synthetic biology and neuroscience, establishing core technology platforms to foster innovation, research incubation, and research outcome commercialization.
Guangming District has implemented various initiatives to incentivize market participation and attract high-quality enterprises within these industrial parks. Specialized operation teams in the parks have been supported with enhanced training, policy interpretation, and investment guidance. Additionally, the district has facilitated engagements between parks and enterprises through activities aimed at promoting policies, establishing market connections, and facilitating spatial allocation, leading to the introduction of high-quality project resources and enhancing overall park competitiveness.
Moreover, the establishment of an "Enterprise Digital Service Platform" has streamlined the management of park properties and facilitated the matching of industrial space with key enterprises, resolving issues related to space acquisition and market outreach for over 200 high-quality enterprises.
