Ten companies based in Guangming District have been recognized in the 2024 Shenzhen Green Factory List, according to a report from the Shenzhen Guangming WeChat account.

This achievement marks a significant milestone, highlighting these companies as frontrunners in the city's push towards sustainable manufacturing practices that prioritize the environment.

Leading firms such as Lenovo Information Products (Shenzhen) Co. and Zesum Technology have showcased exceptional performance in energy efficiency, emission reduction, resource management, and process enhancement. Their inclusion not only establishes them as industry leaders but also positions them as role models capable of motivating and guiding other local businesses towards adopting greener approaches.

To drive the shift towards eco-conscious manufacturing practices, Shenzhen introduced the "Shenzhen Green Factory Graded Cultivation Management Implementation Measures" earlier this year. These measures emphasize the crucial role of green factories in spearheading the transition to eco-friendly industrial practices, focusing on aspects like land utilization, clean production methods, and resource preservation.

Being listed on the green manufacturing roster demands meeting rigorous criteria that go beyond production aspects to encompass a holistic commitment to environmentally sustainable actions. The selected companies will benefit from support and resources provided by the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology to aid their green initiatives and encourage the widespread adoption of eco-friendly techniques across the industry.

Out of 58 contenders citywide, Guangming proudly secured 10 coveted spots on the esteemed list, underscoring its dedication to advancing green manufacturing efforts. These acknowledged entities symbolize environmental stewardship, illustrating sustainable development and innovation in the industry.

With a total of 12 national-level green factories, two green supply chains, and one green data center already operational, the district remains steadfast in its commitment to environmental sustainability.
