Guangming-based Sunwoda, and Li Auto, a prominent player in China's new energy vehicle market, recently celebrated the joint production of their 100,000th battery pack, as reported by Bao'an Daily.
This achievement not only signifies a new peak in production capacity and market preparedness for both companies in the new energy sector but also underscores the remarkable growth of China's new energy vehicle industry.

SEVB, a subsidiary with a strong presence in the lithium-ion battery industry for nearly three decades, is a comprehensive new energy technology firm that integrates battery cell, module, and pack production and research. Renowned for its innovative technologies and scenario-based power battery solutions, SEVB has gained international recognition and initiated large-scale supply partnerships with leading global automobile manufacturers.
Currently, the company leads as the primary installer of hybrid electric vehicle batteries in China and occupies the third position in high-end car battery installations in the nation. It also holds a prominent spot as one of the four "global Tier-1 power battery manufacturers" in China, among other notable distinctions.
SEVB operates 10 production bases across various regions globally and has established technology and customer centers in key international locations such as the United States, Israel, and Japan. The company's battery solutions, revered for characteristics like ultra-fast charging, safety, low-temperature resistance, and durability, have gained significant popularity among consumers.
During the celebratory gathering, Li Auto President Ma Donghui praised SEVB for its exceptional contributions to battery technology research and production. "The strategic partnership between Li Auto and SEVB has greatly enhanced our company's battery supply capabilities. Our collaborative efforts focus on developing more competitive products in the future, addressing crucial aspects such as power durability concerns and battery safety," Ma said.
Their partnership is setting a precedent for integrated industry chain development upstream and downstream, the report said.
SEVB Chairman Wang Mingwang expressed that SEVB, in collaboration with Li Auto and other partners, is striving to achieve breakthroughs and advancements in new energy vehicle battery technology. This partnership aims to deliver safer, more efficient, and sustainable mobility experiences to global users.
